Lots of fun stuff going on in Guelph this week for Pride Week.
From where we sit at Meow! on Carden Street, we can see the Rainbow Flag proudly flying outside City Hall!
Tonite: Meow is proud to contribute to an event at the Ebar above the Bookshelf, Pinch This Productions presents - "Pinch This Pride: an eclectic Queer Circus! "
10:00pm -2:00am - 19+, $5 PWYC +/- (fundraiser for the AIDS Committee of Guelph & Wellington County) This FANTASTICAL event is going to feature many forms and styles of live art performances....from drag, to spoken word, DJs and lots of other stupendous spectacles! So step right up folks and see one of the greatest shows on earth!
Friday: The good folks at Incarnate Clothing on Wyndham are hosting a "Sex Positivity Workshop" put on by Toronto's Good For Her sex toys. 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Enjoy this informal presentation on sexual awareness and safe sex practises followed with a Q&A period. 31 Wyndham St. N.
Saturday: Peace - Love - Rock'n Roll!
1. Songs of the 60s concert, 8:00pm at Harcourt United Church (87 Dean Ave., Guelph). Advance tickets: $15.00 / At the Door: $20.00 / Senior&Student: $15.00 / Children (under 12) $5.00. Tickets also available online at the Rainbow Chorus Website.
2. Pride Party & Dance
9:00pm - the Holiday Inn (Oakwood Ballroom) on Scottsdale Drive, Guelph (Stone Road and Hanlon) Music by Dancin' With The DJ - $10.00 tickets at the door **
Sunday: Guelph Pride Brunch at Red Brick Cafe (8 Douglas St., Guelph) 11:00am – 1:00pm - Wrap up this year's Pride events by meeting up for a light brunch at the Redbrick Cafe. With no set menu or reserved seating!
