Meow! has been very proud to be a sponsor of the Guelph Roller Derby league this year. It has been such a joy seeing the response from fans in Guelph and the growth in the teams in terms of skill and experience. We saw some fun bouts, some great action, and some tough but classy dames!
Now the first ever season is winding down and the Season Finale is being held this Saturday, August 6 at The Sleeman Centre downtown. As usual, tickets are available at Meow! for only $8. Why not come out to see which of your favourite teams --Violet Uprising, Killer Queens, or Our Ladies of Pain-- comes out on top?
"This is it folks! Your last chance this year to see roller derby at it’s finest played at the Sleeman Centre. Join the Royal City Rollergirls at their Royal Rumble, Skills Competition and Home Team Championship. Enjoy live entertainment at halftime while you get autographs from the players. Join the teams at the after party in the Draught Picks Tap House & Grill. The game is Saturday, Aug 6th; game time is 7 PM. Doors open at 6, so come early to get prime seating.
