The Original Village People Bring Disco Fever to River Run Centre
Guelph, ON, April 15, 2009 – River Run Centre is pleased to present the original Village People for one night only on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 8 p.m. The defining men of disco will combine their world famous hits with energetic choreography and outrageous fun, delivering a night of great entertainment not to be missed.

"They helped define a Pop era and they are back!" – Billboard
"Exuberant – a wildly entertaining performance!" – NY Daily News
Village People have sold over 85 million albums and singles and are still going strong after 30+ years. They have been honoured with multiple awards over the course of their career and recently received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The six talented members of the group are: Filipe Rose, Alex Briley and David Hodo (all original to the band), Ray Simpson (since 1979), Jeff Olson (since 1980), and Eric Anzalone (since 1995). These men bring to life the group's often-imitated signature characters of the Native American, Soldier, Construction Worker, Cop, Cowboy and Biker, with the campy enthusiasm that have made Village People famous.
Village People are touring internationally, with stops in Canada, England, France, Peru, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Germany. Their visit to Guelph is part of River Run Centre's 2008-2009 Blackmont Capital Music Series.
